It is now December and because of the cold, snow and early sunsets, not as many people are going to state, county and city parks.
In the fall season, people still go out for many reasons including hikes, picnics on warm days and even camping.
Fall is also a great time for hunters to get out to scout for great hunting spots. And fall is the hunting season itself.
Many state parks, conservation areas, and county and city parks plan special events in the fall to attract visitors. These often include fall hikes, tram rides on normally closed roads, hunting workshops and many others.
