I am a lifelong Missourian with a love of history, art, and travel. One would think I’ve seen pretty much all there is to see in my home state.
Yet, just a few weeks ago I experienced a place with my daughter that I didn’t even know existed.
I have been to the Lemp Mansion in St. Louis a few times in my life, but I didn’t realize until this past summer that just a few steps away is the Chatillon-DeMenil Mansion.
As I did my research, I became incredibly interested in a guided tour. So, one recent Saturday I picked up my daughter from Webster University and we did just that.
The tour guide and his precious pup gave incredible insight into the mansion’s rich history. The tour group was small, so we had ample time to ask questions and look closely at the various rooms we were shown.
