I have known Kyle and Sarah, and Kyle’s dad Steve, for about 3 years. I wrote an article about one of their previous turkey hunts where Sarah and Steve doubled.
This past spring this threesome was back out on the same property chasing longbeards.
They know this ground well, but their ongoing issue is that they have permission to hunt the field, but not the adjoining timber.
It was April 20th, the fourth day of the Missouri spring season. The first three mornings had been somewhat frustrating.
There was good gobbling in the timber early, but they just did not want to come out into the field. I heard this same story from several hunters last spring.
