Windy’s Canoe Rental, which is situated on the banks of the Jacks Fork and Current rivers, is well known for its excellent personalized service.
As an authorized concessionaire with the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, National Park Service, Department of the Interior, Windy’s offers a full service canoe, kayak, raft, and tube rental and also shuttle service for those who have their own vessels. 
“We also have a float store which contains everything a person could need for a fun day on the river,” said Mike Smith, who operates Windy’s. “We offer trips year-round on the Jacks Fork and Current rivers. Windy’s has been in operation since 1969 when it was founded by Windy Smith.
“My wife, Holly, and I are the fourth operators in nearly 50 years and enjoy meeting all the different visitors to our beautiful rivers.”
Windy’s is constantly striving to improve its business. New canoes, kayaks, and rafts are purchased annually to ensure that their fleet is in top shape.
“We have loyal customers who return year after year who deserve only the best when enjoying our beautiful rivers,” said Smith.
Significant flooding in 2015 impacted many of Windy’s most popular float days but Smith is optimistic for 2016. Ample rainfall in the winter and early spring should make for ideal river conditions for the entire summer, he said.
With the economy improving, Smith hopes people will be able to enjoy themselves more and work less.
