Whetstone Conservation Area offers visitors great experiences

Michelle Turner

Spring is associated with renewal and birth. I find it fitting that this spring I often find myself hitting the interstate for Columbia, Mo., to see my cousin’s new baby boy, Jackson.

Each time I see him is a new experience as he grows and develops.

As much as I enjoy our visits, it should be no surprise to regular readers that along the way I have found a “new-to-me” Conservation Area to explore.

Just like with young Jackson, each time I visit Whetstone Creek Conservation Area I see new growth and developments!

The 5,208 acres that make up Whetstone Creek Conservation Area are easy to access via I-70. Just take Exit 161 to Williamsburg and follow the brown signs.
