I’ve been retired from Boeing, Inc., for some number of years. My retirement has been memorable; treasuring each day with Judy and our family, and enjoying my outdoor hobbies… golf, tennis and fishing.
As the years have progressed, however, aging has taken its toll on my outdoor hobbies.
Aging, however, has not altered my love affair with my native Missouri and with my hometown, St. Louis, and its suburb of Ballwin.
Some would consider Missouri just a “fly over” state, but those who know its history, culture and geography are not so glib.
Aside from the state’s formidable historical significance, for me, Missouri’s Ozark region is truly unique. Its geologic features of abundant springs and clear flowing rivers are its “gems.”
Some time ago, I remember It was March… still felt like winter… but my longtime fishing partner, Dennis Norton, and I couldn’t wait any longer; our float fishing instincts were too strong!
