Keith Mary and his wife, Mary Jo, have been traveling for the past two years trying to visit every national park in the country.
“We’ve been to about 12-15 so far. We don’t just visit the national parks, we visit multiple different parks along the way,” said Keith, who has subscribed to the River Hills Traveler for about 20 years or so.
Keith and Mary moved to Texas in 2010, and Keith soon thereafter started talking Mary into traveling.
“In October of 2012 I had some health issues and realized that my retirement may or may not come, so if I really wanted to travel, I needed to do it now,” said Keith.
Keith ended his medical treatments in March 2013 and they started traveling in 2014.
“We started our journey in Texas, then went to Arizona and New Mexico,” said Keith.
They have a plan of traveling north in the summer and south in the winter.
“We don’t stay at each place for the same amount of time, it just depends. But we don’t travel on holidays,” said Mary.
Keith and Mary have a large RV that they travel with and they try to stay overnight at state parks, but sometimes they stay at RV parks.
