The iconic Stormy & ‘Pennsylvania Tuxedo’

For those of us who are “follically challenged,” a good wool cap in winter is a necessity.

You’ll note by my picture that I am in that category.

Recently I “lost” my old red and black plaid Stormy Kromer cap. And when I say lost, I really meant that my son Nick has claimed it for his own.

Not a bad problem for a dad to have, really.

If you’re not familiar with the style, the Stormy is befitting its name; a sturdy one based on an old-time baseball cap, with earflaps added.

The cap was originally designed for railroad engineers, specifically one George Kromer.
