Last February, we began hearing strange sounds coming outside the bedroom window late at night.
These sounds were periodic high-pitched squeals and would be strange sounds for most people, but not for us.
This was the beginning of the mating season for red foxes, and we knew exactly what to expect over the next five months.
That’s because this would be our fourth year out of five years when we have had a litter of red foxes being raised literally in our backyard.
I am not sure why foxes seem to love this spot to raise their litters, but here they are again. Maybe its because someone in this house leaves dry dog food out there if any fox seems a bit scrawny.
