Why was the bee so hard to understand? It was a mumble bee. Maybe this joke gave you a small chuckle?
There is no mumbling about bee conservation. Bees are a vital piece to our ecosystems. Sadly, due to recent declines, they are in dire need of our help.
Missouri is home to roughly 450 different bee species, ranging in size from a grain of rice to about half the size of your thumb, and they each play an important role.
One example is the well-loved and slightly rotund bumblebee. Bumblebees use buzz pollination to access the pollen deep inside flowers that other pollinators can’t reach.
