During a recent visit with my grandma, she made an observation about the articles I write for River Hills Traveler.
Apparently, I tend to mention food at some point. Well, as usual, she isn’t wrong.
So, why not take this opportunity to share one of my favorite places to visit with River Hills Traveler readers? Let’s take a trip to the Swiss Meat and Sausage Company.

First, let’s take a look at the history of Swiss. Five families from Switzerland settled south of Hermann on Old Iron Road during the mid to late 1800s and named their little village Swiss.
Just like many small immigrant settlements, it had a country store, blacksmith shop, school, and a church.
