Earlier this summer our country experienced one of the most significant heatwaves in recorded history.
Not only were temperatures and heat indixes incredibly high, but they stayed that way for almost 2 weeks.
It was miserably hot… and humid.
Under conditions like that, fishing goes on hold. The high sun and the heat of the water at the surface drive the fish deep, to cooler water.
Not only that, but nobody wants to fish in a sauna. Very few fish are caught during an excessive heatwave.
