Success on public ground

Deer hunting is a tough sport to learn, especially if you did not grow up around it or doing it.

To start the educational and experiential process of learning white-tailed deer and how to hunt them is a huge undertaking for a 25-year-old.

But that is exactly what Richard Ide did about 5 years ago. That is when I met this young man at deer camp.

I am extremely fortunate to have my best friend own a few hundred acres in SE Missouri where we gather to hunt every year on opening weekend.
