Have you ever chopped up a hot pepper, then accidentally touched your face near your eyes?
Pretty miserable sensation, isn’t it? That sums up how I feel when I hear the terms “corn sweat” and “heat dome.”
The extremely high heat index levels have certainly put a damper on my summer fun.
It’s also tossed in challenges when it comes to unpacking, organizing, repairing issues, decorating, and all those other fun things that come along with my new-to-me home.
With that said, my daughter and I decided that enough was enough. We needed to find affordable ways to beat the heat and explore the new area I purchased a home in, especially before she had to move back to college.
