Spooktacular activities at Missouri State Parks

I have enjoyed many a stroll in Missouri State Parks, but one I took last October was simply spooktacular!

On a road trip to view the fall colors, I stopped at St. Francois State Park to stretch my legs where I was greeted with an unexpected surprise.

The campground was decked out with an array of campsites sporting Halloween decorations.

Kids were riding bikes and carving pumpkins, while the adults were sitting near campfires and putting finishing touches on the bewitching decor.

My nature stroll quickly became a ghoulish treat for all the senses.

Unlike me, you don’t have to accidentally stumble upon a frightfully good time this October. If you are interested in celebrating the spooky season, there are several options within Missouri State Parks to consider.
