As I have mentioned before, I have had an interest in the “Goshen Road” or trail for a long time.
Having read Francis Parkman’s book, the “Oregon Trail,” I always saw the Goshen Road as our own “Oregon Trail” in miniature.
Then, after attending Hank Lee’s program at the Jefferson County Historical Society, my interest grew.
Hank handed out a map at the program which helped me organize my thoughts better and Joyce Richardson, who was in the know about Hopewell Church and its reported trail connections, provided me some great info.
