Route 66 stories, campground project & bass tourney

The 10th Annual Big Fish, Bright Future Charity Bass & Crappie Fishing Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21, on Truman Lake. 

This is a fundraiser for Compass Heath Network Dental program. Funds raised will be put toward oral health services, programs and education to children and families in our communities. 

With a guaranteed payout of 75% of registration fees and $3,500 in bonus cash prizes, organizers expect anglers from Kansas, Missouri and Illinois to register.

There are about 70 boats each year with a payout of over $10,000 in prizes. 

The tourney will be held at Bucksaw Resort & Marina, 670 SE 803rd Road, Clinton, MO 64735.

Campground project causes reservation changes

Visitors to Montauk State Park may notice some ongoing construction projects that could cause some changes to their camping reservations.
