Remember when

• As you paddle through the beautiful waters of the Eleven Point River, there is a natural treasure you should stop and see.

Boze Mill Spring is a sure beauty you don’t want to miss on your next trip. This spring is located in the Boze Mill Float Camp, managed and maintained by the U.S. Forest Service. It is the only float camp along the Eleven Point River that can be accessed both by river and by roadway.

The Boze Mill Float Camp area contains dispersed camping sites, picnic tables, pedestal grills, and a vault bathroom. There is a short trail that you can walk around the spring branch. Just be careful to watch your footing. This is a popular area for visitors to stop and visit the spring and remains of the old grist mill. (Dana Sturgeon)

• In my opinion, two of the best seasons for hiking in the woods are spring and fall. It’s hard to say which is the better. They both score pretty high marks in my estimation.
