Ready for spring & some catfishing

It has been too cold to get out and even think about getting in a boat and getting wet, but I am ready to get out real soon.

Bob Brennecke

I have limb lines made, I have good plans on “Diddle” poles, and I have pool noodle jugs, just sitting in a bucket ready to get wet.

I am sure most everyone knows what limb lines are. They are a length of twisted or braided line — usually nylon — but at least very strong cotton line.

Some of that line is called bank line and is impregnated with tar to protect against UV rays. I really prefer braided nylon line because of the twisting nature of catfish.

Catfish use the “death roll” like alligators to twist away from the hook and line.
