Q&A with Bob Brennecke

Every month I would like to answer some questions from readers in this space.

Anything outdoors-related, ask away. Just email the Traveler directly or email me.

The first question we received may be a bit late to ask since the temperature has been 11 degrees already this season.

The question was: “Why winterize your camper? If you have blown air into the system already, why should you pump RV antifreeze into the lines?”

ANSWER: If you have blown the air through the lines, are you 100 percent sure you have gotten “all” the water out?

As Murphy’s law states, if there is a possibility, it will happen! The water left behind could be behind or under or sandwiched between something unmovable.
