The Traveler’s Bob Brennecke answers your outdoors questions:
QUESTION: Is there a checklist of specific things I need to get my camper ready for spring and summer use? How early is too early to do this, is March too early or should I wait till April?
ANSWER: This is an excellent question and has been touched on before and will be addressed little by little in coming segments.
Yes, of course there are many things that may be done to your rig and TV (tow vehicle) throughout the winter time. The only thing that that will hamper you is the temperature and your cold temperament.
One thing that bothers campers is the sticking windows on their rig in summer or winter. Sometimes the windows are stuck so hard shut that you have to pry them open from the outside.
This is especially dangerous if you use something harder than the glass to pry the window open. If tempered glass is the least bit chipped or scratched, it will shatter into thousands of pieces.
