Make lasting memories at Babler Memorial State Park

It was Sunday July 21and I had been waiting for a dry but not too hot day to go camping, and this was it.

The temperature was 84 degrees which is fairly cool for July in Missouri.

The nighttime temperature was to be in the low 70’s and no rain was predicted. So I loaded up my car with my pup tent, sleeping bag, and firewood and headed out to Babler Memorial State Park.

Missouri’s Babler State Park is not only the closest state park with camping to my house, but also one of my favorites. I camp here at least once every year.

I have many memories of going to this park starting when I was in high school. We used to go on picnics and day trips here back then.
