Kyle and Sarah knew this deer season would be a bit more challenging than those in the past.
The addition of their first child, son Wyatt, came shortly after spring turkey season ended.
The decision was made that one of them would hunt a day while the other stayed with Wyatt in their camper.

This was a great plan, and they both would get the best of both worlds.
Kyle gave Sarah the opening day to hunt. They were on a 200-acre spot that had promise, but Sarah did not see a deer that day. They made the decision to switch farms for the next few days.
This other spot had been previously scouted for bowhunting and they had a good level of confidence in it.
Despite their hunting/babysitting arrangement, Kyle told Sara to go ahead and hunt the second day since she had not seen a deer the day before.
