October in Missouri is a great time to get out and enjoy everything our state has to offer. This month, I want to highlight a few of the activities planned in Missouri State Parks for readers to weigh their options for October fun!

Are you an amateur shutter bug who would like a chance to photograph a cave?
Consider joining park staff on a photo tour of Onondaga Cave on Oct 12. This extended tour includes extra time for photographers to capture their best shots at spots along the tour.
Cave tour fees do apply and the tours start at the visitor center at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Participants can expect the tours to run 2 to 2.5 hours long and are highly encouraged to dress for the cave’s 57-degree temperature and wear closed-toe shoes with a decent tread.
