Indian Camp Creek Park is St. Charles County’s largest park with 603 acres and is located seven miles north of Interstate 70 in the northern part of the county off of Highway 61.
The park was opened in 2006 but has just recently added camping as one of its many amenities.
The park is named for Indian Camp Creek which empties into Big Creek within the park. The St. Charles County Parks Department puts much of its focus on maintaining the environmental heritage of the area.
There has always been a youth group camp with a picnic shelter that can be reserved by Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops or other organized youth groups.
But now a group camping area and a basic tent camping area are available by reservation or on a first come basis.
