My love for floating the Ozarks waterways started with dancing when I was in my 40s.
Newer as I was to the area, floating hadn’t yet appeared on my radar as a “go-to” recreational activity.

Oh, I had been floating before – the White River in Arkansas when I was a kid, accompanied by my parents, but I don’t remember a thing about it; and the Buffalo River with my own children three decades later, but that was all about seeing to their safety and care.
This time was different.

I returned to dancing shortly after my divorce, about a decade ago.
