I just had to this share with you… my all-time best smallmouth that I landed during a float trip on the Meramec River.
On a Wednesday back in September, Dennis Boldrey and I used Garrison’s Canoe and Campgrounds to rent a canoe for a float from Birds Nest to Garrison’s; a fine stretch of water I have floated many times.
But this day I will long remember landing the largest smallmouth after a career of more than 55 years of float fishing Missouri’s streams.
