Get your kicks on Route 66 at Cedar Inn Museum & Visitor Center

In just two short years, America will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66, but you can start celebrating now with a visit to the newly-rehabbed Red Cedar Inn Museum and Visitor Center in Pacific, Mo.

This building has been beautifully transformed into a great spot to visit.

The Smith brothers (James and Bill) originally chose to build the inn with rustic materials. The logs for the project came from their family farm.

Their hope was for the inn to bring in customers with construction that provided a hint of the pioneer days.

But, it really was Route 66 that made the Red Cedar Inn a hit with people traveling from all over the world, including famous baseball great Ted Williams.
