It has been said that “fishing is a way to be at peace with the world and oneself.”
Not sure who said it, but they knew what they were talking about. At least for me they did.

And one of the better moments of being at peace is on a body of water as the sun begins to rise.
On a calm day, with the morning similar to a sheet of glass. The pink tinge revealing the sun about to crest a nearby hill.
A Zara Spook being “dog-walked” along the water’s edge; hopefully moments from enticing the topwater strike from a bass. Preferably, a large bass.
I enjoy the quiet. few geese honking as they awake from a night on the water.
