Fishing after the thaw

March is the normal time of year when cabin fever grabs many of us.

We have been cooped up inside for too long and the allure of the fire in the fireplace has dwindled.

There are a few tasks that justify these outdoor trips, like taking down last fall’s tree stands, shed hunting and pre-season turkey scouting.

All of which are valuable, but somewhat less gratifying than putting a delicious meal on the table.

This cool-weather angling can produce big and can cure that cabin fever with one dose. However, one dose will make you want more.
