Looking for a nice quiet place in Branson away from the traffic, but close to the strip and Silver Dollar City? Look no further than Edgewater Villa Resort.
The Traveler features one of its advertisers in story form just about every month and we’re happy to introduce Edgewater Villa to our readers in a little different way.
Located in a large, no-wave cove on a quiet part of Table Rock Lake, Edgewater Villa Resort is family owned and operated and offers something for the whole family.
“We are pretty close to a lot of the tourism, but far enough away to be secluded,” said Andy Lichtas, Edgewater Villa Resort owner.
“Whether you are into water sports, fishing, shopping, Branson shows, roller coasters or just plain relaxing, we would love you to be our guest.”
Lichtas and his wife, Barb, have owned Edgewater Villa for the past six years and absolutely love it.
“We always wanted to buy a resort, and we looked at 20 different resorts in five states when we finally got to Table Rock Lake and decided this was it,” said Lichtas.
“We bought it in July and jumped right into the fire, and that was the best thing we could have ever done. It gave us everything we needed to know about how to do things.”
The Lichtas’ have five kids and also come from large families themselves. Andy is one of 10 kids and Barb is one of eight kids.
“We love having the resort and being able to host our family when they come to visit,” said Lichtas.
In those last six years, Lichtas claims that last year was their best year.
“We had lots of repeat business and have also been drawing in a lot of new business,” said Lichtas.
“We are constantly growing and really riding on our cleanliness. We pride ourselves on that.”
Open year-round, Edgewater Villa offers 21 cabin units, right on the water, accommodating families of two to as many as 12.
“Every one of our buildings has a lake view, air conditioning and heat, softened water, towels, and kitchen supplies,” said Lichtas.
Th cabin units offered are a combination of lakeside condos, poolside condos, premier individual A-frame cabin, individual A-frame cabin, single-story duplex, two-story duplex, lakeside double condo, and a double A-frame cabin.
“We also have a small gift shop and store for things that people forget to pack on location.”

In addition to the cabins, Edgewater also has two covered docks that can be used by guests.
“We have a fish cleaning station, boat ramps, gas, swim platforms, and also stairs with handrails to both of our docks,” said Lichtas.
“We also recently hung new cedar trees under the dock that draw in a lot of bait fish and other fish.”
There have been several improvements and additions made at Edgewater Villa over the years, according to Lichtas.
“We built a 30×30 pavilion three years ago, built a brand new playground, and also chip-and-sealed all drives and the big trailer parking area,” said Lichtas.
“We are also building a brand new office/residence this year.”
The Lichtas’ live on the resort, which makes them easily accessible by their guests. According to Lichtas, guests come from all over to stay at Edgewater Villa.
“We have several from St. Louis, Kansas City, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Illinois that visit,” said Lichtas.
“Our favorite thing about having the resort is the people. Being able to see the people who come back every year, developing relationships with them and meeting all the new people that stay with us.”
