Does “lead” have a new lease on life?

Lead is a mineral that despite extensive use for the past two centuries, has fallen into serious disfavor recently.  

That’s because the toxic effects of this mineral on both humans and animals can be long-term and debilitating.  

As a result, lead is now banned from usage in some shotgun shells, water pipes and a huge variety of other items.

But maybe there is a new lease on life for this old mineral that for years was mined in the Missouri Ozarks and provided a source of income for so many.

Maybe lead can now help professional fishermen win big bucks in those high-dollar fishing tournaments that have become so popular. Or maybe not.
