Missouri Highway 21 is a very popular highway for vacationers in southeast Missouri.
The highway leading from St. Louis to the Arkansas border can take travelers to many of Missouri’s most popular national parks, state parks, conservation areas, and other tourist attractions.
Washington State Park, Mark Twain National Forest, Hughes Mountain Natural Area, Buford Mountain Conservation Area, Elephant Rocks State Park, Johnson Shut-Ins State Park, Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site, the Ozark Trail, Taum Salk Mountain State Park, and the Ozark National Scenic Riverways are just some of the vacation attractions along Highway 21.
But one spot along this well-traveled highway that is usually missed and not well-known is Bootleg Access Conservation Area.
