I know I can be pretty goofy. I get a kick out of childish and kitschy things despite pushing the BIG 50.
So, imagine my delight when billboards started popping up along I-44 several years ago for the “World’s Largest Rocker” just outside of Cuba, Mo., in Fanning.
Once upon a time, Danny Sanazaro wanted to lure in new customers and throngs of tourists to his archery shop and feed store.
As a youngster he’d seen the World’s Largest Rocking Chair in Franklin, Ind. He’d never forgotten it and thought that record could be beat!
Danny’s vision came to life with a little help from his friends. John R. Bland designed the chair and it was fabricated by Joe Medwick, who owned a local welding company.
