2 more old friends are sold

Back in the summer of 2019, 13 forest lookout towers cleared “historical review” which cleared the way for disposal by the Missouri Department of Conservation.

This meant that in the estimation of the company doing that review, they did not merit enough historical importance to warrant saving.

The towers were Potosi (tower sold with site), Vulcan (sold and must be taken down by fall), Cascade (sold and being put back up in Indiana), Hunter (sold and moved to storage), Grandin (sold but not removed and removal in limbo), Lenox, Dixon (tower and site sold the other day), Rosati (tower and site sold the other day), Fort Leonard Wood (sold and in storage), Rose Hill, Houston, Summersville (sold and out by fall) and Hartshorn (sold and out by fall).

So, Rosati and Dixon were the two recently auctioned.
