To the Editor,
I was born in the the middle 50`s and my family vacationed at Lake of the Ozarks every year in the 60’s.
When we took the back way to Camdenton we stopped at one the manned towers and had lunch at the picnic tables.
All the kids would climb up and knock on the trap door. If the rangers were inclined they would open the door and talk to us, sometimes not.
This article (in the February 2017 issue of the Traveler) brought back very fond memories. Thank you for the article and thanks to Chris and Bob.
