The 15th Annual Old Tyme Country Festival is set for June 5-7 at Markham Springs Recreation Area, three miles west of Williamsville.
“Our goal with these events is to keep the park alive and going as well at the youth center,” said Sue Hecker, new coordinator of the event.
Half of the revenue generated will go to the park and the rest will be go to the youth center.
“With government permission we are trying to add picnic tables, fire pits, and grills to the park,” said Hecker.
The Old Tyme Country Festival features craft vendors, kids events, and maybe some black powder events.
“The Williamsville Activity Planning Commission asked the Elfinore Youth and Community Center if they wanted to take over planning the festival,” said Hecker.
A final schedule has not been made yet, but they are in the process of finalizing it.
Friday night will involve setting up booths and door prizes, and the events on Saturday will begin at 9 a.m.
