I have often felt with certain and unrelenting conviction, that few things grace an Ozark countryside better than an old bridge.sevem-Sandy_creek_covered_bridge_02 copy

Home to the swallows and the sounds of the summer, they are in their simplest and most contrived elements, etched in the annals of time.

It must be the quaintness they so proudly exude as they harbor about them an enchanting aura of old and in the quiet half light of dawn, they color the shades of the past.

To see them as they are now is to wonder what they once saw, as season unto season changes, in space and time it rearranges all in the relative rhythm of life and under a brush stroked sky.
