The third annual Sippin N Sawin Chainsaw Carving Festival hosted by 7C’s Winery will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10.

“We are super excited for this year and we have added a backyard BBQ competition into the event,” said Dwight Crevelt, owner of 7C’s Winery. carving

Carving will take place both days and the carvings will be auctioned off on Sunday afternoon to support local charities via the Wolchek Foundation.

“We donate to the Wolchek Foundation that supports the Walnut Grove Food Backpack Program and Good Samaritan Boys Ranch,” said Crevelt.

According to Crevelt, there are no other carving festivals in Missouri other than this one.

“We ran into a couple of carvers that were out here for a couple of events, and they were interested in starting a carving festival so we put it all together and we started,” said Crevelt.

The carvers that attend are from all over the world, and most of them travel throughout the year to compete.

“This will be the first competition for several carvers this year,” said Crevelt.
