Running River Canoe Rental (RRCR) recently added 10 full-hookup RV sites, kayaks, and rafts to their already successfully busy canoe rental, campground, and convenience store business. Running River Pic 1

“We have been in business since 1979, and have been at our present location since 1989,” said Lois Peters, owner. “We are National Park Service (NPS) concessionaires on the Current River renting canoes, kayaks and rafts on the upper Current River.”

Running River Canoe Rental’s convenience store/gas station is the only fuel option in a 45-mile stretch of Highway 19 from Salem to Eminence.

“We carry a good line of groceries, gas, diesel, and other merchandise necessary to daily living and save neighbors many miles by not having to drive to Salem or Eminence for one or two items,” said Peters.

In addition to adding new RV sites, Peters said they are also all fully winterized for use all year long — including hunting seasons in November and December.
