Carter County 150th events in full swing

Spring Re-enactors Drill March 28/April 18

JEFFERSON CITY, MO., MARCH 20, 2009 — Two living history events that focus on the Civil War will be held March 28 and April 18 at Fort Davidson State Historic Site in Pilot Knob. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, the 2nd Missouri Artillery and the Turner Brigade, the events will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Twin Pines Celebrates First Birthday April 18

  The Twin Pines Conservation Education Center will host an anniversary event on April 18 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  One year will have passed since the grand opening celebration in April 2008. The event will feature a fish fry, archery, fishing, music and traditional Ozarks skills demonstrations. (more…)
